Join our kayak and snorkel tour in Playas del Coco, Costa Rica, and explore the beautiful coastline of the Gulf of Papagayo with professional guides.

This 3-hour guided experience combines ocean kayaking with snorkeling at some of the best sites in the area. Paddle along volcanic rock formations and around the Pelonas Islands before jumping into the water to explore vibrant marine life.

Our multilingual guides ensure a safe, fun, and educational experience for both beginners and experienced adventurers.

Tours depart daily at 8:00 AM, when ocean conditions are at their calmest. After a short paddle, you will stop at selected snorkel sites to explore the underwater world.

During the tour, enjoy fresh fruit, iced tea, and cake while relaxing between activities.

Tour route and snorkel locations depend on weather and sea conditions
Minimum age is 12 years old and Children must be accompanied by an adul
During the snorkeling session, a guide will remain on the beach to look after your belongings, while the snorkeling itself is unguided.
All participants must complete required liability

No experience is necessary. This tour is beginner-friendly, and our professional multilingual guides provide full instructions before departure. Life vests are mandatory and included for all participants. Minimum age is 12 years old.

What if the ocean conditions are not safe?

All kayaking takes place close to shore in the calm, protected waters of the Gulf of Papagayo, where conditions are generally ideal for both kayaking and snorkeling. Each morning, we carefully assess ocean and weather conditions to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. In the unlikely event that conditions are unsuitable, we will gladly reschedule your tour or provide a full refund.

Can I participate if I’m not a strong swimmer?

Yes. Life vests must be worn at all times, and our guides are always in the water during snorkeling to assist you. However, you should feel comfortable being in open water.
